Thursday is National Sweater Day!

On Thursday WWF is encouraging all Canadians to put on a sweater and turn down the thermostat. And they've enlisted an interesting set of new volunteers: your grandmother.

Well, not actually YOUR grandmother. But real-life grandmas, nanas, bobes, and babkas have volunteered to call people and remind them to wear a sweater and turn down their thermostats.

According to WWF, if every Canadian household were to drop their thermostat down 2º, the pollution saved would be the equivalent of taking 350,000 cars off of the road.

So if you're looking to get a call from a granny this Thursday — or if you'd like to have a granny give a friend a call — head over to sweaterday.ca and book your reminder call now.
